Nokia and Pixel 3 Phone with snapdragon 710 chipset maybe coming soon

Nokia is working on a smartphone code-named ‘Phoenix‘. This phone will supposedly feature the Snapdragon 710 chipset.
It looks like the Snapdragon 710 chipset is a hit with phone makers. Even it is rumored that google may be working on a mid range pixel 3 device with the new AI-focused chipset.

Both chips are essentially mid-range versions of the flagship Snapdragons. The 710 features two Cortex-A75 derived “big” cores and six A55-based “little” ones. And it uses a 6-series Adreno GPU, which promises 35% speed boost over the Snapdragon 660 GPU.
Qualcomm officially announces Snapdragon 710 SoC

What is special about the new Snapdragon 710 ?

Well, the 710 SoC is not really a mid-range chipset per say. It is a completely new chip that shares more features with the high-end Snapdragon 800 series than the mid-range 600 series. Qualcomm uses the same 10nm process that is used to make the Snapdragon 845. This means that the phone that uses the 710 would be very efficient, and about 30 percent faster than even the Snapdragon 660.

Google ‘Bonito’ – Pixel 3

Rumors have also been floating around saying that Google is going to be using the SD710 on their next Pixel smartphones. Most likely, Google will release an affordable variant of the Pixel 3 that would use the said chipset. This phone, according to leaks, is being called ‘Bonito‘ internally.
